Miha Matevzic

Miha is a Toronto-based camera and Steadicam operator. He has over 5 years of experience in the industry and has held many positions in different departments on various film sets. This has taught him the value of working in a collaborative way with an emphasis on listening, taking directions as well as making suggestions, when appropriate. His goal is to help make the Director's, DP's, and clients' vision a reality and to keep the days on set running smoothly and stress free. Before pursuing his passion for film, he had a long dance career which has allowed him to have a unique perspective and approach to his craft as a filmmaker and camera operator. Over time, he has developed techniques that help him translate his knowledge of movement and timing from dance to camera operating. He is a SOA (Steadicam Operators Association) certified Steadicam operator, as well as an Associate SOC member (Society of Camera Operators), and an Affiliate CSC member (Canadian Society of Cinematographers). Miha loves capturing anything that has to do with movement of any kind, be it through bodies, shapes or words.
