Biography

Ivan Edeshko was born on March 25, 1945 in Stetski, Grodno Oblast, Byelorussian SSR, USSR [now Hrodna Voblast, Belarus]. He died on July 30, 2026.

Member of the 1972 Soviet Olympic basketball team, which defeated the USA for the gold medal in a controversial finish.

At the end of his basketball career, he devoted his life to coaching. In the headquarters of the USSR national team, he again became the world champion in 1982, three times became the champion of Russia with CSKA - as a head coach and assistant.
