Biography

Steven H. Scheuer was born on January 9, 1926 in New York, New York, USA. He was a producer, known for The Television Annual: 1978/1979 (1979), World: Comm (1969) and Television in America: An Autobiography (2002). He was married to Alida Brill and Nikki ?. He died on May 31, 2014 in New York, New York, USA.

Movie historian and critic. Editor of the book "Movies on TV" (originally titled "TV Movie Almanac & Ratings") which was published in 17 editions between 1958 and 1993. The book was similar in style to the regularly-updated Maltin's book "TV Movies and Video Guide" with its mixture of movies, videos and TV movies with ratings up to four stars but as the first edition of that guide did not appear until 1968 preceded it by 10 years. His brother was the politician James H. Scheuer and his other siblings were Walter Scheuer and Amy Scheuer Cohen. Had four children, including Abigail Scheuer.
