Fran Christie Burke is a freelance Sound Designer & Mixer, who recently graduated from the MFA Sound Design course at the UK National Film and Television School (NFTS).
She has specialised in post-sound since her undergraduate degree, where she achieved a 1st Class Honours and a Student RTS Award for Best Sound in her graduate film ‘The House in the Middle of the Sea’.
Following her BA, she was as a Runner, and then an Edit Assistant at Roundtable Films before starting her MFA in 2024. Her Graduate projects are seeing great success with her Animation, ‘Pickled’ premiering at Cannes, La Cinef, in addition to being Student BAFTA Longlisted, alongside her Natural History Documentary ‘Overlooked: A Silent Extinction’, while her Grad Fiction ‘Small One’ will premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2026.
Since graduating in Spring 2026 she’s been working as a freelance Sound Designer, Foley & SFX Editor, and Re-recording Mixer.
