- Liz Doran is an internationally acclaimed writer and producer. She developed and was the EP/Writer/Showrunner of MY BRILLIANT CAREER, an adaptation of Miles Franklin’s novel, produced by Jungle Entertainment for Netflix Australia, to be screened in 2026. Liz wrote Episode 3 of the upcoming drama series GROWN UPS created by Samantha Strauss based on Marian Keyes’ bestselling novel for Netflix UK.
She is known for her work on the much-loved shows, PLEASE LIKE ME (Script Producer/Writer) and READY FOR THIS (Co-creator/Script Producer/Writer), both nominated for International Emmy Awards and winning AACTA, AWGIE and Logie Awards. She was Co-creator, head writer and an Executive Producer of BARONS which was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Mini Series. In 2020, she started Good Lark Productions and produced THE TAILINGS, which screened on SBS On Demand and Topic (US), and went on to win the AACTA, SPA and AWGIE awards for Best Short Form Fiction.
Other writing credits include PROSPER, MOLLY, DOCTOR DOCTOR, THE SECRET LIFE OF US, DANCE ACADEMY and the Emmy Award winning, BAFTA nominated UK drama series SUGAR RUSH.
