Biography

Crystal M. Lee is a Los Angeles-based voice actor, audiobook narrator and producer, on-screen actor, writer, casting director, and creative producer whose unconventional journey has taken her from military intelligence and assignments around the world to recording studios, film sets, and animated worlds.

Her fascination with voice acting began at just nine years old, when she would mute the television and invent her own voices for the characters on screen. Years later, that childhood imagination became a professional career spanning animation, audiobooks, commercials, television, branded content, and independent film.

Crystal is the main narrator of the beloved children’s book series "Lola Dutch," voices the adorable character, Scorpee, in author Daniel Ross's book "Baby Zodiac: A Bedtime Story," and voices multiple characters, including Tony, Dalia, and Blast, in the animated web series "Plum the Super Witch." Her animation and character work also includes Vicky, the Evil Scientist, in "AnimaCars" and Supreme Princess Tutu in "Into the Portal/Starkeepers." Her on-screen credits include "Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez" and "It Kills at Midnight", alongside commercial, modeling, and branded-content work. Her narration work extends to voicing multiple characters in Zoey Draven's book, "The Cursed Horde King," and the FMC in J.M. Grosvalet's Deadly Divine Series. She also hosts Corey Dissin's "The Un-DISS-puted Talent To Watch" podcast.

Crystal's creativity also extends behind the microphone and camera. She works as an audiobook producer, voice-over casting director, writer, and producer and is the founder of Magic Lee Made Productions Inc., a creative production company encompassing voice-over, casting, directed recording sessions, audio production, writing, and other creative services. She is also the creator, writer, and producer of "The Nightingale Tattletale" and has worked in ADR voice casting.

Long before entering the entertainment industry full-time, however, Crystal had already discovered the extraordinary places a voice could take her.

She served for more than 20 years in the United States Air Force, spending much of her military career within the Intelligence Community. Her service took her around the world, with assignments and experiences spanning South Korea, Italy, Bahrain, Türkiye, Germany, and beyond, as well as a deployment to Afghanistan. She also worked within the Defense Media Activity environment supporting the Armed Forces Network. During military field exercises, Crystal even put her vocal abilities to use authenticating section call signs and code words, an unexpectedly fitting prelude to the voice-over career that would follow.

After retiring from military service, Crystal transformed a childhood dream into a second career built around storytelling. The adaptability, discipline, cultural awareness, and resilience developed during more than two decades of military service now coexist with the curiosity and playfulness that first inspired a nine-year-old girl to create voices for characters on television.

Her talents extend beyond acting and voice-over to singing, hosting, dance, martial arts, and bellydance, reflecting the multidisciplinary performing-arts background she has cultivated throughout her life.

Today, Crystal continues to work both in front of and behind the microphone and camera, as a performer, producer, writer, casting director, and storyteller, while helping other artists discover and develop their own voices.
