Biography

Agustín Sacanell is an Argentine executive producer, entrepreneur and co-founder of Kapow, the Buenos Aires-based production company he founded in 2003.

For more than two decades, he has specialized in the development and production of premium scripted series, leading original productions, adaptations and international co-productions for global audiences. His work spans every stage of the creative and production process, from development and packaging to executive production and international delivery.

His executive producer credits include El Presidente (Prime Video), an International Emmy® Award-nominated drama series and two-time Rockie Award winner; Netflix's Envious; Disney+'s Alternative Therapy; and HBO Max's Six Is Not a Crowd.

Throughout his career, Sacanell has collaborated with internationally recognized companies including Gaumont, Fabula and Fremantle, building cross-border partnerships that have brought Latin American stories to leading global streaming platforms including Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max.

Beyond his production work, he has contributed to the industry's institutional development as President of the Buenos Aires Audiovisual Cluster. He is a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and has served as a juror for the International Emmy® Awards, the Rose d'Or Awards and the PRODU Awards.

His work is defined by a combination of creative development, executive production and international business strategy, with a focus on creating premium scripted content from Latin America for audiences around the world.
