John Brennan
John Brennan was born on 16 February 1948 in Perth, Western Australia as the fourth of seven children to parents Gerald Brennan, a chartered accountant and Joy Corrigan a country girl. He grew up on a lush citrus orchard on the banks of the Canning River. This outdoor lifestyle continued into his working life. Prior to acting, John worked in the Oil Industry as a surveyor. In the early 70s, South East Asia was predominantly his home. It was there that he presented an independent documentary on the effects of the oil industry in a third world country.

John ventured to England where he had a minor role in _Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother (1975)_ directed by Gene Wilder. This bit part at Shepperton Studios, London opened the door to a career as a professional actor.

He returned to Australia and embarked on acting lessons in Perth and Sydney. John worked as a radio announcer and compère to subsidize his training. Television commercials were a major part of his life in the 70s and the 80s. John acted in 2 Australian movies, _Tennis Ball, The (1989)_ directed by 'John Dobson', and Glass (1989) directed by Chris Kennedy. He completed a 3 year film production course to enhance his understanding of the industry. He has a natural flair for directing.

In the 90s John relocated to USA and had minor roles in television productions and feature films. He worked alongside Jack Lemmon, Dustin Hoffman and Candice Bergen. He now resides in Perth and between acting roles works as a presenter, voice over announcer and compère.
