Biography

Brent Miller serves as President of Production and Development for Norman Lear's ACT III Productions. Miller has been working with ACT III for just over a decade. In 2019, he and Lear teamed with Jimmy Kimmel, Will Ferrell and Justin Theroux to executive produce Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons'' for ABC. This groundbreaking special assembled an all-star cast to recreate classic episodes of these iconic comedies and ultimately won a Primetime Emmy. Miller also serves as an Executive Producer on One Day At A Time, a Latinx re-imagining of the classic TV series. The critically acclaimed sitcom, starring Justina Machado and Rita Moreno, ran for three seasons on Netflix and has a fourth season premiering on PopTV in 2020. In addition to scripted content, he also Executive Produced two seasons of America Divided for EPIX. This provocative docu-series series explored critical social issues including criminal justice reform, housing inequality, and heroin abuse. On the feature side, Miller produced the documentary Norman Lear: Just Another Version Of You, earning a Primetime Emmy nomination. He, Lear and Lin-Manuel Miranda are producing a documentary for American Masters on Rita Moreno set to premiere in 2020. In 2018, Lear and Miller entered a first-look overall deal with Sony Pictures Television.
