Biography

Kristian Wingfield-Bennett (also known as Kris Wingfield-Bennett) works with indie and AA video game studios helping with PR, marketing and publishing across mobile, PC and console. Kris was born on May 9th 1985, in Bournemouth, Dorset, United Kindom.

As part of the six person team at Future Friends Games, Kris has published Exo One (2021), Omno (2021) and Festival Tycoon (2021) across Steam, Epic Games Store, Itch.io, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 & 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Kris has worked on over 50 game launches; including 2021 critically acclaimed hit The Forgotten City (2021) from Australian developers Modern Storyteller and publisher Dear Villagers, Cloud Gardens from Noio (creator of The Kingdom series), Cloudpunk (2020) (ION Lands), Heaven's Vault (from BAFTA Award-winning studio inkle), Frog Detective 2 (Grace Bruxner aka Worm Club), art of rally (Funskeletor), ScourgeBringer (Flying Oak Games), A Monsters Expedition (Draknek & Friends), Welcome to Elk (Triple Topping), Teenage Blob (Team Lazerbeam), Game Dev Tycoon (2013) (Green Heart Games) and Pigeon Simulator (Bossa Studios).

Kris is also the founder and creator of PlantBased Gaming on Twitter (and Discord), a curated feed showcasing video games (of all sizes) that have a focus on nature, conservation & education.

Kris has created and launched two free resources for indie developers, including the 'Indie Game Discord Server Template' (2000+ downloads) and the 'Indie Game Presskit Template' usable with Notion.

Kris is a Trustee for The Mowlem Theatre (The Mowlem Institute Charity). The Mowlem Institute operates The Mowlem Theatre, providing a community arts centre that serves the people of Swanage, The Isle of Purbeck and the wider area. The Mowlem has a combined programme of typically over 200 film performances a year, in addition to 60-100 nights of live theatre, that comprises local school performances and amateur societies, as well as incoming professional productions.
