Rafael Maluenda is a Spanish director and writer, known for ‘Forqué. El oficio de hacer cine’ and 'BERLANGA!!' (2021). He gained his filmmaking training alongside top director Luis García Berlanga, joining his direction crew in 'Todos a la cárcel', 'Blasco Ibáñez' and 'París Tombuctú'. He also joined other filmmaker's crews, and wrote and directed 'Juego de llaves' (1995) and 'Demasiado tarde' (1998). In 1997 he joined the programming department of the Valencia International Film Festival Cinema Jove, and he later became its director for seventeen editions, until 2016. He also created and directed the Berlanga Film Museum, an online museum dedicated to the works and life of García Berlanga. After his festival years, he went back to filmmaking as a writer and director.
