Biography

Huw was born in Cardiff in 1962. He grew up in Bristol and after leaving school worked in London as a photographic salesman. Huw then married had three children and spent nearly 30 years working in the criminal justice system. In 2018 Huw took early retirement to peruse his true passion, acting. He started as a supporting artist and gradually took on some minor roles. Huw found success as a stand in and double and after joining Spotlight more featured and acting opportunities arose. Huw has acted in popular music videos, online series, along with independent and mainstream film and television productions. Huw greatest strength are his improvisational skills, which has lead to some extraordinary opportunities, including working with Rebbecca Front and Bill Nigh. Every year since 2022 Huw has spent the five weeks leading up to Christmas in Lapland in Northern Finland, dressed in a famous red costume, delighting adventurous holidaymakers from around the world. Huw continues to develop his acting skills and was recently invited to return to Italy to perform at an international clinical study. Huw is also a Trustee of one of the country's longest running musical theatre companies.
