Phu Hong is a filmmaker based in Northern Virginia, known for his work as a director, writer, cinematographer, and executive producer on more than a dozen independent productions. As the co-founder of 5/7 Pictures, he has played a key role in shaping independent cinema, collaborating with creatives and college students from various institutions across the DMV.
His directorial debut, Unlinked, garnered over 1,600 views and was selected for multiple film festivals in the U.S., most notably Shockfest Film Festival in 2021. Since then, he has continued to expand his portfolio with projects that explore human emotions and immersive storytelling.
Recently, he served as a producer on Almost Special (2025) and Spend Some Time in the Sunshine (2024), further establishing his distinctive visual and narrative style. His upcoming works include A Proposal, The Man in Suits, and On Call.
