  • Pearl Yazgangil (born 17 December 1996 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a Dutch film producer, designer, and multidisciplinary creative of Turkish, Albanian, and Surinamese descent. Though born in Amsterdam, she was raised in Rotterdam, whose raw creative spirit continues to shape her work.

    After studying Graphic Design at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, she launched several ventures across fashion, music, and audiovisual art. She founded the streetwear label DELAY Clothing in 2017 and established ABSNT, a multidisciplinary production studio through which she develops film, music, and visual projects. In 2019, she co-founded Peanut Butter Jelly Times, a community-focused party and event series blending nightlife with artistic programming.

    Pearl is best known for producing Cyanide (2021), a composite drama directed by Amar Somaroo. She also served as Associate Producer on his autobiographical documentary The Place I Call Home (2022). Both films were acquired by Amazon Prime Video, with The Place I Call Home receiving a nomination for Best Documentary at the Septimius Awards 2023. Fluent in Dutch, English, and Turkish, Pearl combines her multicultural background with a strong sense of structure, visual rhythm, and narrative development.

    In 2025, Pearl produced Exodus, a large-scale television pilot for Dutch public broadcasting, which was nominated for Best Short Fiction at the Jaipur International Film Festival 2026. She frequently collaborates with director Amar Somaroo and the production company Youth Novel Motions on narrative film projects.

    Alongside her film work, Pearl is an active DJ and music producer. As part of the duo Golden Skullzz, and through her solo work, she blends electronic, industrial, and experimental sounds into a style that reflects her multidisciplinary background.
