Ido Meshulam

Ido Meshulam is an active Los Angeles recording artist with over 100 film and television credits including Minions and Monsters, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5, The Simpsons, and Family Guy. His extensive jazz discography includes Billy Childs’ Rebirth (2017 Grammy Award - Best Jazz Instrumental Album), John Beasley's MONK'estra Vol. 2 (2017 Grammy Nomination - Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album), and the Dave Slonaker Big Band’s last two releases, Convergency (2022) and Shifty Paradigms (2026). Live performances include Los Angeles Philharmonic, Seth MacFarlane, Danny Elfman (multiple tours, Hollywood Bowl), John Patitucci, The Beach Boys, Al Jarreau, Coachella Festival, and The Kennedy Center.
Ido received his Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz at UCLA where he had the chance to study and perform globally with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Jimmy Heath, Billy Childs, Chris Potter and many others after being one of only seven musicians to be accepted into the program. He also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Jazz Performance and serves as professor of jazz trombone studies at California State University Northridge.
Raised in a musical family, Meshulam began playing soprano trombone at age three. He won the International Trombone Association’s Carl Fontana Jazz Trombone Competition in 2012 and the J.J. Johnson Jazz Trombone Competition in 2014. Ido also won the U.S. Army American Trombone Workshop National Solo Jazz Competition in 2013.
