Biography

Birgit Meister was born on January 28, 1942 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is a writer, known for Deadline (1999), TV-aktuelt (1974) and 1 ret og 2 vrang (1969). She has been married to Petersen, Hans Jørgen since 1965.

Danish journalist who became well-known especially as an anchor and reporter for TV-Avisen (1965) until 1986.

Has held positions in multiple boards, commissions and committees, including Dansk Sprognævn (The Danish Language Council) and Salmebogskommissionen (a committee for a new Danish psalm book).

Since 1986 has held behind-the-scenes positions for DR, TV-Avisen (1965) and Deadline (1999). Freelance since 2002.
