Maurice Grimaud was born on November 11, 1913 in Annonay, Ardèche, France. He died on July 16, 2009 in Paris, France.

Former mayor and police chief of Paris. Credited with a key role in avoiding major bloodshed during the student uprising in May 1968.

Former Chief of Police for the City of Paris.

Received the Legion of Honor award.
