Biography

The multi-hyphenated John Woods III is an actor, singer/rapper, and writer. He grew up in Columbia, Maryland where he began his career in TV/Film and theater at the age of fourteen. He continued to explore his love for acting by earning a BFA in acting at the "Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University" under one of his mentors Phylicia Rashad (class of 2022). John stars in Theater Kids Vs. Zombies (2026), the upcoming musical comedy micro-series from Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita for aTwist. His recent work also includes the Ciclope Award shortlisted short film Play This At My Funeral (2022), Copycat Killers (2020), and presenting the Oscar nominations for "Best Actor" on Good Morning America (2022).
