Richard Marizy is French film editor who has cut critically acclaimed and award-winning features and television shows. He collaborated closely with Olivier Dahan on his features La Vie Promise starring Isabelle Huppert, Scrimsons River 2 and later La Vie en Rose starring Marion Cotillard who won the Best Actress Academy Award, on which he was nominated for the Satellite Award and French Academy Award.
He cut also the French Award Nominee Antony Zimmer which was the directing debut of Jérôme Salle.
From 2013, he began to work worldwide and collaborated with director Eran Riklis on A Borrowed Identity selected on Locarno Film Festival, and on Shelter starring Glodshifteh Farahani.His other editing credits include Dea Kulumbegashvili’s short film Léthé selected in Cannes Film Festival, Academy Award Winner director Pepe Danquart’s Run Boy Run.
The he cut the documentary Agents of the Shadows for Canal +, inspired by the series The Bureau, episodes on the series Lupin for Netflix directed by Louis Leterrier , which stars Omar Sy, and episodes on the international series Marie-Antoinette created by Deborah Davis for Canal+.
He recently cut Simone: Woman of the Century by Olivier Dahan about the life of Simone Veil, first president of UE, and collaborated on A Folk Horror Tale, a film based on an original concept by John Galliano and directed by Olivier Dahan for Maison Margiela 'Artisanal' 2021 Collection.
Most recently he cut Widow Clicquot, starring Hailey Bennet and Tom Sturridge, produced by Joe Wright, and cut episodes on the series directed by Enrico Maria Artale A Prophet La Série for Canal+, world premiered at Venice Film Festival.
