Kiyoko Suizenji in Zatoichi's Cane Sword (1967)
Born in Kumamoto Southern Japan as Hayashida Tamiko, she switched to her professional alias which is a combination of Kiyoko (one of her hometown's famous historical lords) and Suizenji (taken from the name of a park by the same name in Kumamoto). She became a famous enka singer, but before her debut in the enka genre of music she had wanted to become a pop singer. She had periodically acted in feature films and TV dramas in Japan. Her nickname is 'chita,' which combines 'chisai' (small in Japanese) with her first name.
