Ernesto Grey is a film composer, music producer, and mixing engineer based in Brooklyn, New York. He is best known for his work as producer within Austin's independent music scene, where over the past four years he has helped numerous emerging artists establish themselves by recording, producing, and mixing their debut releases.
His production work has been recognized by the Austin Music Awards for four consecutive years, contributing to projects nominated in the Best Experimental, Best New Act, Best Rock, and Album of the Year categories.
Alongside his work in music production, Ernesto has composed original scores for more than a dozen short films, pursuing a passion for film music that began in his teenage years. His approach to scoring draws from composers such as Trent Reznor and Jonny Greenwood, whose background in contemporary bands inform a bold, unconventional approach to cinematic composition.
Now based in Brooklyn, Ernesto is focused on building a full-time career as a film composer while continuing to perform with his electronic art-pop duo, Alma Muñeca. He also works as an assistant audio engineer at the legendary Sear Sound Studios in Manhattan, where he continues to refine his craft alongside some of the industry's most accomplished recording professionals.
