Biography

Kashiko Kawakita was born on March 21, 1908 in Osaka, Japan. She is known for Atarashiki tsuchi (1937), I Lived, But... (1983) and Doyô danwashitsu (1964). She was married to Nagamasa Kawakita. She died on July 27, 1993.

In 1960, she and her husband, Nagamasa Kawakita, founded the Japan Film Library Council - now the Kawakita Memorial Film Institute.
