Tzeli Hadjidimitriou is a Greek filmmaker, photographer, and writer from Lesbos island, Greece. Her work explores identity, memory, and tradition, often focusing on the people and landscapes of Lesbos.
Her short films include Sappho Singing (2020), Sappho's Granddaughters (2019), In Search of Orpheus (2019), Mr. Dimitris and Mrs. Dimitroula (2019), and Salt and Bread (2018). Her first feature-length documentary, Lesvia (2024), traces the history of the lesbian community in Eressos through contemporary footage, archival material, and personal narratives, incorporating Sappho's poetry as a structural element.
Hadjidimitriou's work has been recognized with multiple awards at international film festivals. In addition to filmmaking, she is an accomplished photographer and author.
