Olivia Hargroder

Olivia studied drama at NIDA’s Young Actors Studio, then gained a Cert IV in Stage and Screen with Perform Australia. She became an emerging artist with Brisbane’s La Boite Theatre Company in 2020 and delivered her monologue performance 'Quick Fixes' to great acclaim. This was an opportunity to combine her love of contemporary dance and drama, to drive a highly emotional performance. Her first lead role on screen, was in Bus Stop Film’s beautiful short film 'Sunshine' with Anna McGahan. Olivia then burst into Australian living rooms each week, in ABC’s 'Better Date Than Never', winning hearts and changing minds about people with a disability. She had a guest role in drama series 'RFDS' on Channel 7. Her first feature 'Boss Cat', premieres at Sydney Film Festival 2026. Olivia plays the title character in this gritty, hilarious and heartfelt story of a young girl struggling to retain agency over her future.
