Biography

Johannes Vang is a Sámi-Norwegian Director & Producer from Ráisa on the Norwegian side of Sápmi. His passion is to tell stories about Sámi, Kven and Northern Norwegian culture, identity and society. In addition to directing shorts and documentaries, he is the founder of production companies Rett Vest and Aurinko Film. Through his companies, he has produced award-winning films like "Rede (2022)" and "velkommen HJEM (2024)"

Johannes started his career as an assistant in the art department, in the summer of 2020 and has since then done a dozen projects as a Production Designer, Art Director and Standby Props. He has also taken work as a production assistant and runner.
