Her mother, Maria Teresa Roma Bobone, is a paternal niece of the fourth Count of Bobone in the Kingdom of Italy, originally from San Remo, Kingdom of Sardinia, who were the Hereditary General-Consuls of the Sovereign Principality of Monaco in the Kingdom of Portugal and in the Republic of Portugal for four generations, until they renounced that office.

Has four siblings: Rodrigo (b. 15.1.1972), Diogo (b. 6.9.1975), Filipa (b. 18.12.1976) and Bernardo (b. 16.12.1982).

Her father, António Carlos Gonçalves de Carvalho, is a Journalist and an Archpriest of the Orthodox Church.
