Biography

Emma Ahola is a freelance director-screenwriter, producer, casting director and actress based in Finland.

In 2026 Ahola worked as Executive Producer of Uneton48 (uneton48.fi), the largest short filmmaking competition in the Nordic countries.

As a casting director, Ahola has worked on over a hundred commercials, an AAA-level console game, international co-production feature films and television series.

As a director-screenwriter, Ahola has projects in development: a youth comedy series and a feature-length fiction film. She has also written short films, theatre demos, monologues and numerous audition scenes. Her latest short film, Whisper of the Woods, is scheduled to premiere in late 2026.

Since 2024 Ahola has been a Full Member of the Board of SET (The Union of Film and Media Employees in Finland). She has also participated as a jury member for film competitions.

As an actress, Ahola has appeared in television series, feature films, commercials, theatre productions and has worked as a voice actor.
