Allison Bausch is an American actress drawn to psychologically complex characters and story-driven work. With roots in avant-garde and socially and politically engaged theatre, her performances are grounded, emotionally precise, and shaped by strong physical and vocal awareness.
She began performing at 13 and developed her craft through extensive stage work, including Amadeus, State of Emergency, Greenpeace, After Easter, Life and Limb, before moving into film and television. Her screen work includes the films Ships, Promise to the Disappeared, In Search of Andy Warhol, and Loser’s Lounge, with television appearances in Out Rage Us and Night Scene.
Trained in the Meisner Technique at The Actor’s Avenue and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, Allison works from deep listening and moment-to-moment truth. Her training in the Alexander Technique supports a disciplined, embodied presence on screen. Holding a Bachelor’s of Arts in Film Studies, she brings a filmmaker’s understanding to collaboration and process.
In 2026 Allison is in production for the Australian films Moments Between Us and Project Dawn. She is in pre-production for the Australian comedy Tenant, and she is slated to appear in the Australian project Relinquished Presence. Her early work contribution that was given for an Untitled Documentary, regarding her uniquely historical presence in the Portland performance art scene, is in post-production.
