As of September 2018, Denis McCready is the executive producer for the Canadian Francophonie Studio at the French Program of the National Film Board of Canada.
Since 2001, he's worked on a variety of documentary films on topics ranging from science, war, humanitarian aid, indigenous rights, journalism, environmental issues to music, dance and visual arts. He started as a production manager on TV one-offs, then became line producer for several TV series, and then moved on to become a producer for feature length documentaries in 2007.
Denis has also worked as a photo reporter Bosnia-Herzegovina (1996) and Nagorno-Karabakh (2001) for Doctors Without Borders and CARE Canada.
In 2004, he won second prize at the CBC Literary Contest (French version) with his travel story : Return from Sarajevo, A First Hand Account.
