Oscar Faarup is a Panamanian film director born on June 17, 1986, in Panama City Pnama. His film studies were in Los Angeles, California, in the United States. After several years of studies and experience, he returned to Panama where he developed as a director for TV commercials and music videos. He made his first television film in 2014 with Prohibido Olvidar, a film about the invasion of Panama in 1989, with success in television ratings. Its success attracted the interest of other television channels to develop another film based on real events. Escribiendo el General (Writing the General), a film made in 2019, generated another ratings success on national television in Panama. Oscar Faarup arrives to develop his third film, but with an international focus, with the film Salmones Rosas (Pink Salmon), filmed in 2024, a film outside the other styles already marked in his first films. Salmones Rosas will be released worldwide on Films Festivals.
