Sara Scalera

Sara Scalera was born in Mesagne (Italy). She is a director and screenwriter. In 2021 he directed his first short film, "In Braccio alla Corrente", which debuted at the "Lecce European Film Festival". In 2022 she made her second short film, "La Piccola Estate" that premiered at Landshut Film Festival and is distributed by Tiny Distribution. In the same year she became co-producer of the short film directed by director Antonio La Camera "Las Memorias Perdidas de los Árboles", made in the Peruvian Amazon forest under the supervision of Maestro Apichatpong Weerasethakul, winner of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. The short won the prize for Best Short Film at Venice Film Critics' Week SIC@SIC during the 80 Venice Film Festival.
