- Thain Wesley or Thain Wesley Lurk, was born in Bountiful, Utah. Thain's father, Paul, was a chemical engineer, and his mother, Christine, worked as a correctional officer. Thain's passion for cinema and filmmaking came from watching films as a child.
While attending design school, Thain started making films with his friends and found a passion for the craft. Many years later, after a career as a designer, he helped on a friend's music video; he ended up swinging a heavy prop sword for four hours, leaving his hands bleeding and his grin from ear to ear. This experience convinced him that acting was his true calling.
Thain subsequently started studying acting and spent his free time working on short films in Toronto, Canada. He eventually landed his first feature film role as "The Lurker" in Adam Jack's horror/thriller of the same name. The film went on to win over 40 festival awards internationally. Thain then reunited with Adam Jack for his next feature film, *Jackknife*, where he portrayed Guy Lachance, a colorful backwoods drug dealer. He collaborated with the team once again to create the drama/comedy *A Farewell to Youth*, in which he played a version of himself as an outspoken comedian trying to help his best friend Matt, portrayed by Matty Cardarople, regain his footing in the comedy circuit.
Thain is also involved in several other film projects and television roles.
