Biography

Nicole Shanahan was born on September 26, 1985 in Placer County, California, USA. She is a producer, known for Evolver (2022), Common Ground (2023) and Kiss the Ground (2020). She was previously married to Sergey Brin and Jeremy Kranz.

In March 2024, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced he had selected Shanahan as his vice presidential running mate for his independent presidential campaign. She had previously donated $4 million to a Super PAC supporting Kennedy to air his Super Bowl commercial.

Her mother is a Chinese immigrant from Guangzhou City. Her father, who died in 2014, was an American of German and Irish descent.

She sought $1 billion in her divorce from Sergey Brin, arguing that her prenuptial agreement was signed under duress. Forbes estimated that she received between 2.6 million and 5.2 million shares of Alphabet Inc. from Brin, which would have been worth $360 million to $720 million when the divorce was finalized in May 2023.
