  • Danish musician Jan Tellefsen was born in Denmark in 1960. When he was very young he learned playing the keyboard. Presently the keyboard is his preferred instrument. Jan has keyboarded for many pop bands such as "Westwood", "Stay Tuned", "BHO", and latest and presently pop-band "The wanna Beatles". His is also singer for Danish orchestras among others "Honeypie".

    Jan formed pop-band "Westwood" together with Michael Vesterskov and Soren Skov in 1992. In 1993 "Westwood" released their first single song "Once In America" which became a major hit in Denmark. And then few years later they released a followup, the album "Westwood" recording in London and produced by Greg Walsh. The album did get a good radio cover in Denmark and became also a hit in Norway.

    After the first album Westwood broke up in 1993, and it was actually when they were in the studio to prepare their second album, they decided to split and then the project were closed.

    A year later Jan formed his "Known as" rock/pop band, "Stay Tuned". Jan both keyboarded and was the vocalist for "Stay Tuned", like all the other band he played for. The band was a danish hit, and in 1997 Jan and his band "Stay Tuned" percipient in Dansk melodi grand prix (1997) (Danish song-contest). The winner of the contest was Thomas Lægård with the song "Stemmen i mit liv".

    Jan and the other band-members of "Stay Tuned" broke up. And presently Jan is vocalist and conductor for the band "The wanna Beatles".

    Jan is also cartoon dubber and dubbing director. He directed and dubbed the danish version of the animated Manga series Dragon Ball Z (1989) and chose himself as the danish voice of the short bald warrior Krillin.
