Zulfah Otto-Sallies was born on May 8, 1961 in South Africa. She was a writer and director, known for Mama Africa (2002), Action Comandante (2016) and Raya (2001). She was married to Shahied Sallies. She died on July 8, 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa.

She died due to complications from a stroke that she suffered a month before her death.
