Jutta Limbach was born on March 27, 1934 in Berlin, Germany. She was married to Peter Limbach. She died on September 10, 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

President of the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) of Germany (1994-2002).

She was the first female president of Germany's highest court.
