Creators Miriam Dehne and Marie C. König portray sex work in a cliche-free, nuanced, and modern way. With multi-layered characters, the six-part dramedy series takes viewers into Auroras parallel worlds: from the shared kitchen of a dorm to financial consulting and luxury hotels, to explore questions of eros, friendship, and independence from unusual and controversial feminist perspectives. In addition to the excellent lead actress, the cast includes standout performances by Manal Raga a Sabit as the best friend who explores her sexuality through dating, as well as Madieu Ulbrich and Malik Blumenthal as contrasting yet equally fascinating love interests. The diverse ensemble cast also features a guest appearance by Xidir Koder Alian, the lead actor from the ARD series Asbest.
