Bharat Dabholkar is an Indian actor, director, playwright and advertising professional known for his wide-ranging contributions to Indian cinema, theatre and advertising. Widely regarded as the "Father of Hinglish" advertising, he is credited with transforming the Indian advertising landscape by seamlessly blending Hindi and English to create relatable, memorable and impactful campaigns. He has been the creative force behind iconic brand communications for Amul, Videocon, Frooti, Appy and several other leading brands.

In theatre, Dabholkar is a prolific writer and director with more than three decades of experience. He has written and directed over 32 English musical and theatrical productions. His satirical revue Bottoms Up is considered one of the longest-running English-language plays in the history of Indian theatre, earning him critical acclaim for his sharp wit, social commentary and stagecraft.

His transition to films established him as a sought-after character actor in both Hindi and Marathi cinema. Known for his commanding screen presence and versatility, he has appeared in several notable Hindi films including Company, One 2 Ka 4, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Sarkar 3, Sanju and Dabangg 3.
