K. Ryan Parker is a SAG eligible actor known for his role as Roger Thurby in Hulu's award winning series Dopesick (2021). Ryan started working in film and TV in 1996, with such productions as Something Borrowed, Something Blue (1997), Deceiver (1997), What the Deaf Man Heard (1997) and Love's Deadly Triangle: The Texas Cadet Murder (1997). He received critical acclaim for his acting and assistant directing work on the feature film Charles Sloan (2022) which earned top accolades from several US and international film festivals. From 2004 to 2011 Ryan traveled the US with Raleigh's flat-track roller derby team, the "Carolina Rollergirls", as the play-by-play announcer known as "Rockerboy". Ryan lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his partner Rosanne, and his cats Roy and Ralph.
