Professor Pettorelli was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2025 King's New Years Honours List for her services to Conservation and to Outreach. She is the Head of Environmental Monitoring and Conservation Modelling for the Zoological Society of London. She lives in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.
