Peter Ackroyd was born on October 5, 1949 in London, England, UK. He is a writer and actor, known for The Limehouse Golem (2016), The Casebook of Victor Frankenstein and The Mystery of Charles Dickens (2000).

Was raised by his mother, Audrey Whiteside, and his grandmother on a council estate near Wormwood Scrubs prison.
