Biography

Shauntay Hinton is a Mississippi native who studied broadcast journalism at Howard University and the School for Film and Television's Conservatory Program in New York. A frequent panelist debating current events and pop culture on HLN network programs including "Prime News" and "Showbiz Tonight," she has contributed to lifestyle and entertainment programming for King World Productions, Fox Sports, Lifetime and Twentieth Television. A former Miss USA who raised a record high $35+ million for charity, Hinton supports causes that benefit women's health including breast and ovarian cancer education, research and legislation. She has traveled nationwide as an advocate for organizations such as the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, the National Breast Cancer Coalition and Gilda's Club. Shauntay also serves as an Ambassador for ChildFund International (fka Christian Children's Fund).
