Nehir is a Turkish actor, producer and writer based in Sydney. In 2025, she was selected as an AACTA contender for playing the enticing Natasha in Cuckoo's Den (Apple TV, Prime).
Known for portraying emotionally charged, complex roles, she also stars in three upcoming feature films: Mirror Mirror (2025), a psychological thriller where she plays Mia-the bold, quick-witted lead; The Idiot Coil (2025), a haunting folk thriller set in 17th century Yorkshire, where she portrays Catherine; and Our Friend Flint (2026), a supernatural drama in which she takes on the role of Marinette, the resident Queen Bee.
In 2025, she was selected by MEAA to partake in a mentorship by acclaimed director Angela Blake. Through her mentorship, she wrote, produced and starred in the sci-fi horror, Super Boyfriend which screened at the Opera House as part of SF3's gala finals and took home the Filmbreaker award. She also wrote, produced and acted in a gothic period film The Forefather that got pre-selected for Tropfest 2026.
On stage, she starred in Sophia=Wisdom at New Theatre in January 2024, a critically acclaimed experimental production praised by Time Out and Sydney Theatre Reviews. Sydney Arts Guide described the show as "Pioneering experimental theatre displaying remarkable skill. The show deserves a good audience and is worthy of attention. Its [also] a lot of fun""The cast thrive on Kennedy's radical direction. They are meticulous and have rigid precision" Stage Whispers.
