Biography

Alicia Nash was born on January 1, 1933 in San Salvador, El Salvador. She is known for 60 Minutes (1968), American Experience (1988) and Inside a Beautiful Mind (2002). She was married to John Nash. She died on May 23, 2015 in Monroe Township, New Jersey, USA.

Son John Charles Martin Nash (b. 20 May 1959) remained nameless for a year because Alicia, having just committed Nash to a mental hospital, felt that he should have a say in what to name the baby. As was his parents, John Charles Martin grew up to be a mathematician, but, like his father, he was diagnosed a paranoid schizophrenic.

According to Sylvia Nasar's biography of Nash, Alicia allowed him to live with her again in 1970 - 7 years after she divorced him - but as a boarder. After he won the Nobel Prize in 1994, they renewed their relationship.
