- Tara Hungerford is an award-winning writer, director, and producer, and the co-founder of Imagine Create Media, a leading Canadian studio specializing premium entertainment for families. With over 700 episodes and 250 credits across scripted and unscripted television, Tara is known for her distinctive visual style, emotionally resonant storytelling, and creative leadership.
Alongside her husband and creative partner Eric Hogan, Tara has created 18 television series that air in over 120 countries. Notable projects include Gumboot Kids (CBC), I Love (TVO), and A Window Looking In (Knowledge Network). Her career began in music videos, dance films, and commercials, where she developed a strong aesthetic sensibility and a passion for heart-centered storytelling.
Under Tara's direction, Imagine Create Media has garnered international acclaim and numerous accolades, including a Prix Jeunesse International Award, Kidscreen Award, Youth Media Alliance Awards, Golden Sheaf Awards, Leo Awards, and multiple Canadian Screen Award nominations.
