Born Georgia Raines, she married Benjamin B. Wooden Jr (Benjamin Wooden). The couple had three children, including Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger.

Georgia Raines Wooden was born August 10, 1946, to the late Linwood Raines and Florence Bell Raines of Prince George, VA. Upon her mother's death, she moved to Petersburg, VA, to be raised by her sister, the late Mildred R. Taylor and the late Franklin Taylor.

Georgia and her husband, Benjamin Wooden, Jr, had three children, Mario Wooden, Karen Huger and Bridget Wooden. She has three sisters, Lillian R. Simpson, Rebecca R. Richardson and Rev. Doris McCray. Grandchildren Brandon Carter and Rayvin Huger, plus a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
