- Roberta Alexander was born on March 3, 1949 in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA. She was an actress, known for The Metropolitan Opera Presents (1977), Angels in America: The Opera (2004) and Hello I Must Be Going (2012). She was married to Siebe Riedstra and Edo de Waart. She died on October 14, 2025 in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, Noord-Holland, Netherlands.

- She was a teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Codarts in Rotterdam, but also taught in master classes around the world. Roberta had a strong commitment with the IVC in 's Hertogenbosch where she was a jury member several times.
