Aleks Toivola

With her roots in rural Washington State, Aleks has a knack for adventure. The middle child in a commercial fishing family (find them on Deadliest Catch!), she grew up fishing, hunting, and playing sports with her two brothers. However, it wasn't long until her true gift of story telling was discovered. Always animated, she was put in musical theater at age five when she was cast in Hansel and Gretel as the role of "Wally-Bird." Falling in love instantly, she continued her love of performing on stage in school and community theater, both in the small town she called home and on the bigger stages in Seattle. When she started print modeling in Seattle her freshman year of high school, she was able to experience more aspects of the industry she thrives in. When she moved to Los Angeles to study theater in college, she truly found her home. Post graduating, she has made the transition into film, though still has her roots on the stage, whether that be musical theater or straight plays. Aleks has the belief that comedians make the best rounded actors, and does her best to perfect the craft- after leaving her college improv team, she followed in the footsteps of Will Ferrel and Matthew Perry and became a long time troupe member with LAC Comedy Improv, directed by legendary Kent Skov. Currently, she be found performing in and hosting interactive comedy dinner shows throughout Southern California. When not working in front of the camera or stage, she can be found writing her various pilots or coming of age feature, producing an upcoming suspense feature, or in class working on her craft.
