Christos Stergioglou

Christos Stergioglou is a Greek actor with a long career in film, television, and theatre. He studied at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and the HB Studio in New York. He gained major recognition at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, winning Best Actor for his performances in Hard Goodbyes: My Father (2002) and Tha to metanioseis (2002), and later received the State Quality Award for Best Supporting Actor for Ores koinis isyhias (2006). He went on to achieve international attention for his leading role in Dogtooth (2009), and continued to receive critical acclaim with awards from the Hellenic Film Academy for Unfair World (2011) and again from the Thessaloniki Film Festival for The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas (2013). On television, he has appeared in series such as ...Ystera, irthan oi melisses (2000), En Iordani (2002), I sykofantia tou aimatos (1999), and To 10 (2007).
