Biography

Matthildi Maggira is a Greek actress, television presenter, performer, and educator whose career has spanned television, theater, film, and live entertainment. After studying at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education, she began gaining recognition through television, appearing in the comedy series Oi mikromesaioi (1992) and later becoming widely known for her performances alongside Lakis Lazopoulos in the popular comedy show Deka mikroi Mitsoi (1991), where her portrayal of a folk singer showcased her talent for comedy and impersonation. In 1997, she provided the Greek voice of Megara in Disney's animated feature Hercules (1997). Her television work continued with notable roles including Eleonora Stefanelli in the hit series Maria i ashimi (2007). On stage, she enjoyed success in the comedy production "Sesouar gia dolofonous", while her film appearances include Bonus (2001) and Eftihia (2019), in which she portrayed legendary entertainer Rena Vlahopoulou. Beyond acting, Maggira became a familiar television personality, serving as a judge on Ellada eheis talento (2007) and co-hosting the Greek Eurovision selection and the Eurovision Song Contest broadcasts with her sister, Betty Maggira. She also participated in popular entertainment programs including Dancing with the Stars (2010) and Your Face Sounds Familiar (2013). Expanding her creative activities beyond performance, she taught devised theater at the Tabula Rasa creative writing workshop and launched her own clothing line, demonstrating a career marked by versatility across multiple areas of the entertainment industry.
